Charming Spots near Konark Beach
Sun Temple
Situated at a distance of 3 km from the Konark beach, the magnificent Sun Temple is the major attraction of Konark. Probably built by Narashimhadev I in the mid-13th century, the temple is dedicated to Surya, the Sun God, and is designed in the form of a huge chariot.

Mayadevi Temple
Towards the south-west of the temple, behind the sanctuary, are the ruins of the Mayadevi temple. The temple was thought to be dedicated to one of the Surya's wives, but now believed to be an older Surya Temple.

Archaeological Museum
Just outside the Sun Temple is the Archaeological Museum that contains many sculptures and carvings found during the temple excavations.

Ramachandi Temple
About 10km along the beach is the famous Ramchandi Temple on the bank of the river Kushabhadra.

You can try your hand in fishing. Other than fishing you can just stroll around by the beach side or relax under the sun.
