between its two more famous cousins, Colva on one side and Calangute on the
other. Baga beach Goa is an option for those who want to stay away from the
hustle-bustle found on the other beaches. Goa Baga Beach is a fishing beach
with international tourists bathing under the sun and domestic visitors
paddling around. There is the grove of palm trees that comes perfectly close
to the waters edge.
The Baga Beach River flows down on one side of it. Baga Beach Goa has the
best range of restaurants and liveliest nightlife in the area.

Airlines : The nearest airport is at Dabolim, which is 29
km away from Panaji. Panaji is just half an hour's drive away from
Calangute Beach.
Rail Lines : The nearest railway station is at Karmali 11
km away from Panaji.
Bus lines : Goa Baga beach is about ten minutes from
Mapusa, and thirty minutes from the state capital, Panaji. There are
frequent buses to Panaji and Mapusa from Baga Beach and Calangute. Most
buses from Panaji terminate at Calangute and a few trudge further on up to
Baga Beach. Mapusa is around 8 km away from Baga Beach.
Private / Hired Vehicles : Once in Goa, you can hire a
private vehicles to reach the beach.

Looking beyond the village and the Arabian Sea, at the Baga Beach hilltop
is the Baga Beach Retreat House dedicated to St Francis Xavier. It was known
as the Casa de Retiros.
Baga Beach River

The
Baga Beach River flows down on one side is a pleasant diversion for children
and water lovers, who can't risk the rip currents that swirl around the
mouth. Where the river and the sea meet, and on the far right bank, there
are group of black rocks against which the sea crashes, nice to see.
Medicinal Springs
The narrow road leading past the Bom Viagem Convent by the cashew-covered
foothills, leads to the springs at Mottant. This is an ideal spot for
picnics and bathing, as the water is believed to have medicinal properties.

Water Sports
Fishing, para-sailing, water skiing and wind surfing at the beach starts in
the afternoon when the wind is blowing just in the right direction and it
goes on till sunset.
Crocodile and Dolphin Spotting
Backwater crocodile and dolphin spotting down the Mandovi River to the
Zuari River is a favorite pastime for the travelers.
