Airlines : Port Blair is connected with Chennai and
Kolkata by air. Alliance Air and Jet Airways are the flight operators to
Port Blair. The Chennai-Port Blair-Chennai sector operates on Sunday,
Monday, Wednesday and Friday and the Kolkata-Port Blair- Kolkata sector
operates onMonday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Jet Airways has also started their services every day of the week on
Chennai-Port Blair-Chennai sector.
Aqua Lines : Port Blair is connected to Chennai, Kolkata
and Vishakhapatnam by a regular passenger ship service. The ships sail three
to four times every month from Kolkata and Chennai to Port Blair and
vice-versa. From Vishakhaptnam, there is one sailing in a month. The voyage
takes about 50 to 60 hours and the ship normally berths at Port Blair for
about 2 to 4 days.

Domestic Tourists
Before starting your journey please confirm your to and fro tickets of
Flight or Ship.
Entry Formalities Out of the two groups of islands, only the Andaman group
is open to tourists. The domestic tourists (Indians Nationals) do not
require any permit to visit Andamans. However, visiting tribal areas of
Andaman and Nicobar districts is prohibited. Permits to visit the tribal
areas can be granted by the Deputy Commissioner, Andamans. District, Port
Blair, in special cases only.
For Foreign Tourists
Foreign tourists need a special permit to visit the Andaman Islands (for 30
days extendable by another 15 days) This can be obtained from Indian
Missions abroad or the immigration authorities in Bombay, Calcutta, Delhi,
Madras or on arrival at Port Blair Airport. C'MORE can also have the permits
arranged for you prior to your arrival minimum 3 months in advance Foreign
Nationals are not allowed to visit Nicobar Islands. This permit is valid for
Port Blair Municipal Area; Havelock Islands; Long; Neil Islands; Mayabunder;
Diglipur; Rangat for a period of one month where night halt is permitted.
However only a day's visit is allowed to places like Jolly Buoy; South
Cinque; Red Skin; Moun Hariet and Madhuban Foreignershaving the required
permit can stay over night at the following islands/ places: South Andaman,
Middle Andaman and Little Andaman Isl (except tribal reserve) Neill Isl,
Havelock Isl, Baratang Isl, North Passage Isl, Long Isl, Diglipur and
islands in the Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park (excluding Boat, Haboday,
Twin, Tarmugli, Malay and Pluto Islands).
